This quality Single Spur Auger Bit is machined from high carbon steel in Sweden. The unique shank design makes this auger bit well suited for both a traditional Hand Brace as well as a power drill. When using a hand brace, the conical shape of the shank tip slides into the square hole at the bottom of the chuck thereby ensuring that the bit will never slip. When using a power drill the textured surface of the shank ensures a non-slip performance. The single spur scribes the hole prior to entry and ensures a splinter free hole. The solid center of the bit provides for rigidity. Hole size 28mm - approximately 1 1/8". Overall length 9". Shank size 3/8". Quality made in Sweden.
