This Countersink is intended to be used on a 1" mortise hole.
These Countersinks are only to be used in combination with the Cutters of the 60 Degree Design. Once you have drilled the mortise hole that will accept the tenon, you may use these Countersinks to countersink the mortise hole. In so doing, the tapered shoulder of the tenon will fit flush inside the now tapered mortise hole. The end result is a tighter, stronger and better looking joint for your log furniture or railing. The individual tools includes one main tool shaft, one cutting blade and one of the relevant sized bushing. Note that the 1" size has a built in 1" bushing and as such does not come with a separate bushing as the other sizes. The tool is made from hardened steel and is a heavy-duty design. Made in the USA. Shank size 1/2".
