1" Wood Auger Bit for Hand Brace |

This 1" bit with a tapered square shank is designed for use with a traditional Hand Brace. When using a hand brace, the tapered square shank slides into the square hole at the bottom of the hand brace chuck thereby ensuring that the bit will never slip. The double spur scribes the hole prior to entry and before the double cutters engage. This design leaves a very clean hole finish. The full-length heat treated bit with its solid center guard against bending in heavy-duty applications and strengthens the twist where the greatest strain occurs. Overall length 9". This is well made bit with a medium-fast screw center point. It is ideal for general wood drilling applications that require a clean hole finish. Made in Brazil.
