The Parallel Spoon Bit is primarily used for boring holes, either vertically or at an angle, to take the back "spokes" of windsor chairs. Accordingly, holes may be bored in the seat, the curved back or the "stringers" and arms. The bit is hand forged from carbon steel, carefully heat treated and then hand ground to a fine edge. The bit may be honed by using a slip stone on the inside of the cutting edge - never touch the outside edge. Overall length 4 1/2". Pick the bit size to match the spoke you are using.
