This premium Splitting Wedge by Mueller is hand forged in Austria at the Himmelsberger Zeughammerwerk from top quality steel and then expertly hardened and tempered for the best combination and hardness and toughness. The edge is razor sharp and ready for immediate use. The Splitting Wedge is twisted for maximum splitting effect. The wedge weighs about 4-1/2 lbs and has a 1-5/8" wide face.
