These wheels function as highly efficient rotating strops. Used in combination with our honing compounds, you will be able to put razor sharp edges on all your cutting tools with a minimum of effort.
This Buffing wheel has a 4" diameter, is 1/2" thick and features a 1/2" arbor hole. Attach our 1/2" arbor adapter (sold separately) and this wheel will fit into any hand drill chuck. Together with our Drill Mount (sold separately), you can turn your electric hand drill into a portable honing station.
The Hard Buffing Wheel is made from 100% Cotton Cloth and has been sewn in a continuous spiral from the center to the face. Made in the USA.
In a 3-Step Honing Process the Hard Buffing Wheel would be employed in Step 1 together with Emery Compound for removing surface imperfections such as scratches from a sharpening stone.
