The classic Carpenter and Joiner's Mallets are made from tightly grained European beech and are ideal for striking chisels and gouges as well as for a variety of regular shop tasks. These Carpenter and Joiner's mallets feature slightly angled faces to ensure a square striking surface and the handles have chamfered edges for comfort and to prevent splintering. A long taper on the handle makes for a very secure attachment of the mallet head. Suitable for most shop work, this particular Carpenter and Joiner's mallet has a weight of approximately 24 oz and an overall length of 14". The mallet head is 6" wide on the short side of the angled face and 6 3/4" wide on the long side.
