This heavy "Commander" mallet is very useful for knocking together and adjusting joinery in post and beam contruction as well as for any task where a mallet with sizable proportions is required. The head of this mallet is crafted from dense heavy Japanese hardwoods noted for an ability to withstand impact. The handle is made from Japanese White Oak for strength and longevity.
The round head is metal strapped to prevent splitting, has a diameter of 5" and is 9 1/2" long. The handle is 36" long. Overall weight is 8 1/2 lbs.
Made in Japan.
