This Sliding Bevel has a chemically blackened blade that is 9" long and 1" wide. The Rosewood base of the tool is 6" long, 1" wide and 5/8" thick. The sliding bevel represents the very best quality produced by Joseph Marples of Sheffield, England. The design is based on tools last made over 70 years ago, which carried the "TRIAL 1" Corporate Mark. The base of the tool has thick machined brass faces on both sides and a brass knurled thumbscrew for locking the blade. Made in Sheffield, England.
