An extremely well made scriber with a regular scribing point 8" in length that is held by an adjustable sleeve. The point is finely tapered so that the scriber point can be easily seen on the work. The long bent point is handy for reaching difficult spots such as through holes. The sleeve may be clamped near to or away from the working point making it very easy to pick a position that works best for each individual user. The steel sleeve is nickel-plated and knurled to provide a secure grip. Also included is a knife scribing point for scribing cleanly across the grain. Just attach the sleeve to the knife point and you have a cutting scribe. Both scribing point are made from properly hardened and tempered steel. Made in USA by the L.S. Starrett Company.
