This Set of 16 Quality Forstner Bits by Famag of Germany comes with a custom fitted wooden box for safe storage and protection. The set includes the following sizes:
These quality bits feature the traditional Forstner design with a razor sharp continous circular rim, double cutters and a finely ground center point. The bits will produce flawless flat bottom holes with smooth sides in soft and hard woods, veneers, MDF or any panel material. Guided by their razor sharp circular rims, the bits will cut cleanly without deflection by grain or knots. A new patented cutter geometry makes for less friction, better cutting performance and an extended service life whereas a new chip groove design makes for better chip flow and clearance.
The bits are forged and machined from the finest high carbon alloy tool steel in typical German attention to detail and precision. Overall length is 3 1/2" with a 5/16" shank for bits sized 1/4" to 1 1/8" and a 3/8" shank for bits sized 1 1/4" to 2 1/8". Precision crafted in Germany by Famag.
Tip: If you need longer bits, you may extend the length of this bit by attaching an extension shank.
