Compact enough to be easily packed and very useful when you are out camping. Blaze a trail, build a camp, chop firewood, split kindling, etc. This hatchet has a 1-3/4 lb head, a 4-1/2" wide face and a 15" Ash handle. Non-slip handle grip.
This hatchet is made in a small village in Austria where the skilled blacksmiths of family owned Leonhard Mueller & Söhne have been forging quality axes since year 1675. The hatchet is from Mueller's line of standard quality axes that feature forest green heads and require final sharpening for best performance. Although not quite as refined as the Mueller premium line, "Biber Classic", we believe they compare favorably to the axes you find in the big box stores and offer a good alternative for the hobbyist axe user.
