The thin double bevelled blade of this Carpenter's Hatchet make this a great choice for carpenters. The slight curve to the edge facilitates a slicing action which makes for precise and rapid stock removal. In fact, any woodworker will find this hatchet a very useful shop companion for rough shaping and sizing. The finely polished blade, cut ready for use, is forged from quality steel, has a 5" wide face and a heavy-duty forged nail-claw on the back. The 2.25 lbs head is secured to a 15" ash handle. Hand forged in Austria by Mueller.
