This 9" Curved Blade Draw Knife by Two Cherries comes with a leather edge guard. This particular Curved Blade Draw Knife is hand forged out of the highest quality German steel by "Two Cherries", a well known German toolmaker with a forging tradition dating back to 1858. The cutting edge of the blade is slightly curved and measures approximately 9" long and 1 3/8" wide. The Draw knife
In addition to the traditional use of debarking logs, in days by gone, drawknives had many more specialised applications and were used by a variety of trades (Carpenter, Chairmaker, Cooper, Wheelwright, etc.) for shaping operations and for the rapid removal of surplus wood.
