Intended for limbing felled trees and for felling the odd tree. Great choice for an all-around axe. The thin blade allows for deep cut penetration and the wide face improves the odds for hitting the mark. This axe has a 28" Ash handle, a 2-3/4 lb head, a 5" wide face and an overall weight of 4 lb. Non-slip handle grip.
This axe is made in a small village in Austria where the skilled blacksmiths of family owned Leonhard Mueller & Söhne have been forging quality axes since year 1675. The axe is from Mueller's line of standard quality axes, features a forest green head and requires final sharpening for best performance. Although not quite as refined as the Mueller premium line, "Biber Classic", we believe the axe compares favorably to the axes you find in the big box stores and offers a good alternative for the hobbyist axe user.
