Mortise & Marking Standard Gauge in Rosewood & Brass |

This nice Mortise & Marking gauge is made from plantation grown Rosewood and solid brass. One side of the post has a single marking pin for general marking use. The other side of the post has two pins for laying out mortises. The Standard Mortise & Marking Gauge incorporates a brass pin slide for adjusting the width between the two mortise marking pins. Although not as smooth and easy as the deluxe model, you can make fine and precise adjustments to the mortise marking width simply by sliding the brass post to the desired position. This gauge also features solid brass fittings including two solid brass wear plates on the head for added durability. This is a handsome as well as a functional gauge. Measures 8" in length. Crafted in England.
