No. 65 Chamfer Spokeshave by KUNZ |
Spokeshave No. 65 has two fences which can be adjusted for chamfering up to 1 1/2" wide which makes this a very useful tool to have on hand. Made from high carbon steel and hardened to 61 Rockwell C the blade has been machine sharpened with a bevel angle of 25 to 28 degrees. Featuring a bedding angle of 45 degrees, the tool body is made from fine grey cast iron and coated with epoxy paint for durability. The base is fine ground. Total length is 10 3/4" with a blade width of 1 1/2". Honing required before use. Crafted in Germany by KUNZ.

KUNZ is a family owned company originally founded by Gustav Kunz in 1910. The company is one of the few remaining German toolmakers specializing in traditional woodworking tools such as hand planes and spokeshaves. Since 1993, the tradition of manufacturing KUNZ tools to their usual high attention to detail and precision has been carried out by Tresselt in Grossbreitenbach, Germany.
