No. 79 Side Rabbet Plane by KUNZ |

The No. 79 Side Rabbet Plane is a great choice for widening or trimming rabbets, grooves or dados. The plane features two cutting irons for work in either direction and an adjustable depth fence to control the depth of cut. The plane body measures 5" long and 1 3/4" high. The two cutting irons are made from high carbon steel hardened to Rc 61. Final honing of the cutting iron to suit individual preferences is recommended before use. Crafted in Germany by KUNZ. KUNZ of Germany
KUNZ is a family owned company originally founded by Gustav Kunz in 1910. The company is one of the few remaining German toolmakers specializing in traditional woodworking tools such as hand planes and spokeshaves.
