These squares represents the very best quality produced by Joseph Marples of Sheffield, England. The design is based on tools last made over 70 years ago, which carried the "TRIAL 1" Corporate Mark. This set includes:
- 4" Rosewood Precision Square - Trial 1 by Joseph Marples
- 6" Rosewood Precision Square - Trial 1 by Joseph Marples
- 9" Rosewood Precision Square - Trial 1 by Joseph Marples
- 12" Rosewood Precision Square - Trial 1 by Joseph Marples
The squares have 1/8" thick machined brass on both the inside and outside faces, thus ensuring accuracy on the inside and outside edges. They have a chemically blacked spring steel blade, secured to the Rosewood stock with brass diamond washers and steel rivets. The accuracy of the try squares is well within that required by BS3322 with a guaranteed tolerance of less than 0.0005" per inch over the entire length of the blade. Made in Sheffield, England.
