These five Diamic Brand basic turning tools have been made from premium M2 High Speed Steel. Designed with ease of control in mind, it is an ideal beginner set with a focus on detailed and delicate spindle projects. The set includes:
- 5/32" (4mm) Spindle Gouge
- 1/4" (6mm) Spindle Gouge
- 3/8" (9mm) Spindle Gouge
- 1/2" (13mm) Skew Chisel
- 1/2" (13mm) Parting Tool
Handles made from dark stained Beech. Blade length 4 1/2" to 5 1/2". Overall length 10" to 10 1/2". Made in Sheffield, England.

Diamic Wood Turning Tools by Henry Taylor
The Diamic line of M2 High Speed Steel ("HSS") wood turning tools are expertly crafted by Henry Taylor Tools Ltd. in Sheffield, England. Having been the first company to make turning tools from HSS back in 1978, Henry Taylor has developed a great expertise in selecting the optimum alloys for their tools. Arguably, the heat and abrasion resisting properties of their line of M2 HSS is unrivalled by other manufacturers.
Although slightly more expensive, M2 HSS will retain a sharp edge some six times longer than regular carbon steel. Also, when regrinding this tool, it will keep its hardness even if an accidental bluing were to take place.
The Beech handles have been stained and lacquered and feature a brass ferrule.
