Spiral Aluminum Splitting Wedge |

This massive aluminum splitting wedge is forged from aviation quality aluminum. The wedge is twisted through 45° for extremely effective splitting. IMPORTANT - As aluminum is softer than steel it will give rather than splinter and as such this wedge is safer to use than steel wedges. The narrow tip makes for an easy start. The wedge measures 8 1/2" long, 2 1/2" wide and 2" thick at the base tapering to a narrow tip. The sides feature acute angled rabbets to prevent the wedge from popping back when driving hard.
