This 1" Extra Heavy Square End Scraper is a full 1/2" thick giving it the mass to significantly reduce vibration in use. Perfect for finishing flat surfaces (e.g., table tops) and convex surfaces such as the outside of bowls. Also for hollowing and finishing flat bottom holes (e.g., turned containers and boxes). This tool has an overall length of 20 1/2" with a 6 1/2" long blade. Made in Sheffield, England by Hamlet Craft Tools.

This line of M2 High Speed Steel ("HSS") wood turning tools are expertly crafted by Hamlet Craft Tools Ltd. in Sheffield, England - a small family owned company with three generations experience of producing good quality turning tools. The Hamlet tools are known for offering excellent value.
Although slightly more expensive, M2 HSS will retain a sharp edge some six times longer than regular carbon steel. Also, when regrinding this tool, it will keep its hardness even if an accidental bluing were to take place.
Comes fitted with an Ash handles and brass ferrule.
