Two Cherries Swiss Pattern Carving Tools
This Swiss Pattern Gouge features a thick blade and a sturdy double hooped construction. Being a robust tool with a substantial width this type of gouge is popular with carvers and sculptors who work in large sections of wood. Each tool is hand forged out of the highest quality German high carbon steel and mirror polished both inside and outside to facilitate honing. Skillfully using an immersion bath method, the steel is hardened to a guaranteed level of Rc 61. Each tool will arrive machine sharpened and ready for final honing to suit individual preferences. This tool has a total length of 10" and a blade length of 4 1/4".
