Two-Man Crosscut Saw (48") - Germany - Regular |
This Saw features a "Regular" teeth design with uniform cutting teeth. Historically, the Regular teeth pattern was used in both softwoods and hardwoods and was the standard pattern before the introduction of specialized patterns such as the Tuttle and Perforated Lance patterns which include dedicated raker teeth.
This hand hammered, Heavy-Duty Cross-Cut Log and Timber Saw is ideal for cutting medium to large logs. This Saw is intended for cutting green wood where it truly excels. It will also cut dry wood although the performance will be much slower. The blade is a full 48" long with 3 tpi teeth that cuts both on the push and on the pull stroke. The ready for use blade has been hand sharpened and set and is made from extra heavy-duty 18 gauge special formula saw steel. The wooden handles fit into sockets at each end of the blade. Overall length is 52". Crafted the traditional way in Germany. Comes with one pair of wooden handles.
