This heavy duty Split Cast Iron Head Assembly Mallet features a split head design. The mallet head shell is made from malleable cast iron with one side (blue) having a soft Elastomer head and the other side (yellow) having a medium hard Polyurethane head. The mallet handle is crafted from top quality Hickory for added durability. Given the weight and design of this Split Cast Iron Head Assembly Mallet, it is ideal for any kind of assembly work. 

Slots in the replaceable head and grooves in the shell provide an absolutely safe and secure connection. The shell is clamped together with a bolt that runs through the Hickory handle and is connected with a self locking nut. There is no way that this Split Cast Iron Head Assembly Mallet will come apart regardless of the intensity of the blows. The head diameter 2 1/4". The overall width of the head assembly is 5". Overall length of the mallet is 14 1/4". Weight 38 oz. Quality made in Germany.
