This Machete by Iltis Oxhead is a very versatile clearing tool featuring not only a sharp axe-type edge but also a sharp sickle hook. This tool will serve you really well in clearing brush and blazing trails. The 1/8" thick blade has been forged from quality steel and hardened and tempered to Rc 51-53. After the forge, the blade has been left in its natural condition without any cover-ups by paint. The handle is crafted in a military style leather grip with a partial steel knuckle guard. The blade is machine sharpened but we recommend final honing for optimal performance. Overall length 17". Blade length 12".
