Some professional cabinetmakers would argue that the traditional frame saw is the best hand saw for most sawing tasks such as ripping or cross cutting. Our traditional European Frame Saws (28") are made by E.C. Emmerich of Germany. The vertical bars and handles are crafted from red beech and very nicely finished. The horizontal bar is made from a light but strong tropical wood and features a stabilizing bridge at one end to prevent misalignment. The tensioning is achieved by a heavy steel rod with a wing nut. The distance between the screw hole for the blade and the underside of the horizontal bar is 5".
This saw comes with the following two blades:
The blades are made from quality alloy steel and can be resharpened when needed. Made in Germany.
