This set includes both our Classic style frame saws, the 15" Saw and the 24" Saw. They take longer to learn to use than other handsaws, but once mastered they will become favorite tools.
Handles swivel on leather bushings to allow the blade to rotate easily and cut at any angle. Blades are held in place by two steel pins and can be quickly changed. Blade tension is applied with a waxed tensioning string.
The 15" saw comes with three blades as follows:
- 9 tpi Cross Cut Blade - 15 1/2" long and 1 3/16" wide
- 5 tpi Rip Blade - 15 1/2" long and 1 3/16" wide
- 9 tpi Turning/Scrolling Blade - 15 1/2" long and 3/8" wide
The 24" saw comes with three blades as follows:
- 9 tpi Cross Cut Blade - 23 1/2" long and 1 5/8" wide
- 5 tpi Rip Blade - 23 1/2" long and 1 5/8" wide
- 9 tpi Turning/Scrolling Blade - 23 1/2" long and 3/8" wide
Some assembly required.
The Hard Maple frames are made in the USA and the blades are made in Germany.
