Once you have drilled the mortise hole that will accept the tenon, you use the Taper Countersink to countersink the mortise hole. In so doing, the tapered shoulder of the tenon will fit flush inside the now tapered mortise hole. The end result is a tighter, stronger and better looking joint for your log furniture or railing.

The tool is a heavy-duty design and has been made in the USA. Shank size 1/2".
