For purposes of peeling logs this is one of the best Draw Knives that we carry. It has been hand forged in Austria at the Himmelsberger Zeughammerwerk from top quality steel and then expertly hardened and tempered for the best combination and hardness and toughness. The blade curves ever so slightly to conform to the profile of the log. The blade is very sharp and measures approximately 13-1/2" long, 2" wide and a full 1/4" thick.  To make for a strong and secure attachment, the tangs extend fully through the hickory handles and are secured by a nut at the end. This is a serious draw knife for serious applications. Overall length 22".
